“General Stain Prevention
- Avoid letting water pool around the faucets by drying the area each time you use your sink. Keeping the granite dry, particularly in these areas, prevents the lime buildup that leads to hard water stains.
- Seal around the sink and faucet areas two to three times a year, or when you notice that the granite darkens after it is wet.
- Test the finish regularly by allowing water to sit on top of the granite for about 15 minutes. If it shows signs of absorbing into the granite during this time, it’s time to reseal the granite.” To read the entire article click here.
