“It’s time to purge your closet of things that are only wasting space. Here are 4 steps to detoxify the closet:
Step 1: Clean up the area around your closet since the clothes will probably be touching the floor. Wear something that you can take off easily, because you will be trying on a lot of clothes.
Step 2: Get some trash bags or boxes and some post-it notes. Label them with “Give away”, “Maybe”, “Alterations”, and “Throw away”.
Step 3: Separate all of the clothes into categories such as dresses, pants, skirts, etc. Now, examine every single item for rips, tears, and missing buttons, try it on and then put it in one of these places:
– ‘Throw Away’ – Toss anything that is ripped, stained, or worn out.
– ‘Give Away’ – Collect anything that you never wear, doesn’t fit or you just don’t like anymore in this box. If you haven’t worn an item in the last year, you will probably never wear it again.” To read the entire article click here.
